is there a way to clear the lookup cache for a particular user? he's saying that the auto lookup gives him the mistyped email he used before.

On a HH or in Outlook? I think you're asking about Outlook ... if so, find and delete the NK2 file associated with the users profile. Most likely:

C:\documents and settings\%user%\application data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.nk2

... give more details.

I would like to know this for the Handheld!

We are changing thousands of contacts in our Exchange environment. Users that have previously sent mails to these contacts will find them in their lookup cache. After the change, these lookups will no longer be valid and will cause undeliverables.

How can we delete these lookup cache in the handheld?

Is the cache being deleted after a while? How long does this take?

I think the only way to clean the cache is with the Handheld Memory Cleaner enabled ...

Yes, its for HH, not Outlook. I'll have to look into the memory cleanup thing.

Thanks.

The lookup cache can be removed by going into the Address Book and deleting them from the top of the list, one by one. These are removed after a certain period of time (something like 4 hours or so, if that). If it was an email address he typed, you can remove this with Desktop Manager. Go into Backup and Restore then Advanced and look for Quick List (I think); select on the right side and choose Clear. If this doesn't work, then I'll look into it more, but I think that's right.

Sorry, it's Quick Contacts or Recipient Cache. Not sure which, but it's one or the other.
