Default How do Blackberries on a BES work?

Please Login to Remove!

Can anyone clear this up for us please? We have a little confusion about how it all works.
In my mind it's simply thus:

Blackberry over the air to carrier to corporate network and BES back to carrier and over the air to Blackberry.

The question is how?

Many thanks in advance. I have searched for the answer but am unable to find a relatively simple answer I can give my boss!

Your best bet is to look at the diagrams in the documentation.

Get it here: BlackBerry Technical Knowledge Center - Product Documentation - English - BlackBerry Enterprise Server

...specifically the Feature and Technical Overview documentation. It has flowcharts, high-level diagrams, etc. for almost any possibly message flow.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
