Default How to retrieve BIS user name?

Please Login to Remove!

I've posted in the wrong place, but maybe someone here can get me pointed in the right direction.

How do I retrieve my BIS user name? I know the password, but not the user name. I own an 8703e purchased through Sprint.

Thanks.

Easier said than done! My carrier is Sprint. I've tried 3 times. Long waits on hold followed by conversations with people who didn't have answers.

Unhappy Still Can't Retrieve Lost BIS User Name

Still trying, but no luck getting anyone to answer the phones at my carrier, Sprint.

Here's the page that is driving me nuts:

http://www.sprint.blackberry.com/

Image of page attached, too.

I've got to get into my BIS account to add an email account.

I have tried all the ideas presented in the is forum, but no luck. Does anyone know how to reach a person at Sprint (or BlackBerry) who can help?

Thanks.

Do you have an [email address] email address? If so, the xxx == your BIS username. Outside of that, Sprint should be able to tell you. Not sure how their tech support is structured, but you want to be talking to the data folks - at VZW it's called WDTS - Wireless Data Tech Support.

Default Getting your BIS ID

Try email yourself or anyone from your BIS Email, the recipient, when he recieves you email will give your BIS ID which will be [email address]

Other things which can be tried are as follows but that requires you to be using BIS Services recent than 1.8. Assuming that you are using version 2.x you will be seeing seperate folders on your home screen which when selected will giv your email address as a description at the bottm of the screen...
Or you can go into service book of your handset and check their, you will be seeing service book named [email address](CMIME)

Your user name does not necessarily = your email name. Mine are different, as are many other people's

This is true, assuming that the account was created in BIS 1.8+

IIRC, <1.8 your login *was* your email prefix as you didn't have the option to create/change a direct address for your handheld like you can now. To get even more specific, if it was created in 2.0, he may not even have a @sprint.blackberry.net address unless he actively created it after creating his BIS login account.
