Thanks in advance.

What version are you running? This is from my previous post: Check HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Service/Blackbeery MDS Connection Service/Image path. After it say -rbes input the (-rbes "BES02SNLNT_MDS-CS_1") just as it is displayed in the BlackBerry manager console.

Default KB10708 - Repair Install process causes BlackBerry MDS Connection Service to stop

Your errors match this RIM's -> KB10708.

What version are you running and how many BES do you have? In 4.1.3, you have to map the service to whichever BES is active. Example: we have 4 BES...two that run active and two on standby in case of a failover. When ever we change active nodes, we have to go into "MDS to BES mapping" and point the active node to the service and then it will work.

Hi, thanks for the replys.

I'm running 4.1.2.20 and i've done the checks in KB10708 and the settings are ok.

I've done a reinstall and cancelled halfway through but although this gave me more options in BB manager I still can't get the MDS service to stay up.

Any more ideas guys?

Just as a further note here's the details from the manager whilst it is running:

Status: Running
ServerName: BBS01_MDS-CS_1
Version: 4.1.2.15
Is push server: False
Authorization exceptions: 0
Authorization failures: 0
Authorization successes: 0
Connections truncated: 0
Device authentication failures: 0
Max content size of device connections (KB): 0
Total content size of device connections (KB): 0
Number of packets from device connections: 0
Device connections: 0
Max content size of push connections (KB): 0
Total content size of push connections (KB): 0
Number of packets from push connections: 0
Push connections: 0

When I try and edit the properties of the MDS server I get the following error:-

"Application error - Please report to support personnel if the problem persists"

and the service then stops.

If you run a repair but cancel it half way through then you've not repaired anything have you?

I suggest you run a repair of the installation again and see it all the way through. This KB does seem to fit your problem though.
