Question Delegate "Set Password and Lock" ?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm looking for information on ways to delegate the "Set Password and Lock" functionality from the Blackberry Manager to a help desk, without providing any other rights or abilities.

Running Bes 4.0.6.12 with Exchange 2003 sp2.

I thought I might have seen some mentioning of delegation "task" abilities in version 4.1 perhaps?

It's available in role-based administration in BES 4.1 with the 'Sr Help Desk' role. Unfortunately, BES 4.0 is an all-or-nothing approach.

You could hack the SQL database & its permissions ... Not recommended ... and its not supported either.

or ... build / buy / find a custom app that'll do this.

With 4.1 you get Role Based Administration ... if you view the 4.1.2 Admin Guide you can see a list of the roles with 4.1 and what each specific one has with regards to permissions.
