Help Needed - Filtering emails
Struggling a bit with this one. We are using BES 4.1 with Exchange 2003 SP2.
User has a 7250.

I have a user who's primary email is [email address] and another alias which is [email address].

The user only wants his alias mail forwarded to the Blackberry, but if I setup filtering for the the primary Exchange address no mail gets through to the blackberry. I seem to be able to filter out the alias without issue.

Is there a solution I am missing or a work around that someone has discovered.

What if you setup a filter on the BB and use the 'Sent to:' option (with his \"[email email address) the and set that action to NOT forward to the handheld ... then make sure the "if no filters apply, send email to handheld" is set to Yes?

Alternatively you could set the alias to forward to a BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) account

I have tried the filter on the BB as you described without success. By filtering out the primary address no mail gets delivered.

... and this is why I never give advice on filtering messages. The BIS approach will work (its actually what I do with a personal account). Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Thanks...I obviously hope to avoid doing the BIS and perhaps someone else will offer another solutions. Thanks Again!;-)
