We have a BES server running in (example) abc.com domain. Our users, Exchange servers, BES, etc. are all in the abc.com domain. Our company was recently purchased and we are creating a new domain, abc.newcompany.com. We have a plan to migrate users to the new domain and give them permissions to the Exchange servers in the old domain. But at some point we will have to move the Exchange servers and BES into the new domain. Is there a way to do this without breaking BES? And without forcing users to "cradle up"? We have some users running 4.0 and others are still on 3.x. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks in advance!

Don't quote me but I would think as long as there is a trust between the domains and the BESADMIN account has the proper permissions, it should be ok. Users should have to recradle because you won't be changing besadmin mailbox or SRP information regardless of the version. There might be some down time for the move but that would be about it. But, check with RIM to be sure.

I don't think it's going to work... you are going to move the users to the new domain which means they will have to be removed and re-added to the bes server...

If you figure out a way to do it though, let us know.
