SPECS
=====
BES Server running Windows 2003 SP1
BES software 4.1 SP3
Groupwise 7 SP 1 (no FTF/Patches apart from SP1)
Am connecting using GW65 SP7 client software as SOAP didnt work for me.

Basically the software installs fine, I input required codes etc, give usernames etc. where prompted and all looks well but for the past 2 weeks have been stuck with this error appearing in the log which (I think) is why nothing on the BES server has pulled anything out of GW. on the GW server console I can see the trusted application connection (just keeps repeating) and have tried a new key and all appears fine .....

PLEASE can anyone help ?

Rgds

Gareth

Your client is wrong.

BESG 4.0.6.x and 4.1.2 HF1 through to the latest version require 6.5.6 Rev 4 (build date of November 6, 2006).

If your POA's are patched with the security fix, you can use 6.5.6 update 2 instead.

Oh another thing to mention.. the admin user that you have specified in the GroupWise settings (you have 'blackberry').. is that a valid account in GroupWise?

If not, it needs to be an actual user in your GW system.

Default Thanks for the input, but still no joy

Thanks BBforLife for your reply,

1) The blackberry account is real but is empty, so I tried it against my account but still no luck.

also,

2) The client I installed was the 6.5.6 rev 4 with Nov2006 date.. the text from the readme with the client states ...

TITLE: FTF: GroupWise 6.5 Post SP6 Client rev 4 Mult
TID #: 2974707
README FOR: f3265p6f4m.exe

Does that look like the right one to you? I am now in the process of rebuilding the server as its doing my head in! perhaps some remnants of a previous GW client install are hanging around as it used to have GW7 client on there.

Any other hints welcome

Rgds
