Does anyone have any good ideas on how to monitor the flow of email redirection with a BES 4.0 server? I have run into the situation that the BES server will lockup every once and awhile, and none of the users will realize it for several hours. I was thinking that if I could auto-generate an email to go to my email, then forward it somewhere from my BB to somewhere that I could monitor, I could get an alarm or email to my Outlook that the BES wasn't working...

Ideas? Thanks!

I'm in the process of writing a simple script using the resource kit that generates an html page. Then autorefresh it every 30secs. This is monitored by our noc. There will be a couple variables that save things like the last pending, last received and last sent, so that if the numbers don't change after say, 4 refreshes (2 mins), then it will generate an email alarm. You might want to look in that direction.

BFRYE, for the code, does it matter if the mail environment is exchange or domino?
