When I install 4.0 and get ready to create the database it comes back with a sequel error "Error executing sequel statement" and quits the configuration. Does anyone know what might be causing this? This is a new install but did have a previous 3.6 database on it that has been deleted.

you running sql or msde? needs to be version 8 if its msde. also, if upgrading from 3.6 to 4 then your 3,6 needs to be at service pack 4 before upgrading to bes 4.

I think, this is a regional settings problem, firstly you change your settixxx305;ng US(English), then reinstall MSDE and BES...

If you are running SQL on a different box than the BES server, it could be a domain rights issue. We had this problem trying to run BES under a local system account. setup a besadmin domain account with rights to the sql server and BES and run BES under that username.
