I'm confused now - after a long history with calendar sync issue we managed to upgrade successfully to BES 4.1.4 with Exchange 2003 SP2... and still, another calendar sync issue pops up (one way calendar sync from OL to BB only - single user error).

when I check the CDO.dll files I see:

BES:
cdo.dll 6.5.7638.2
(both in c:\windows\system32 and c:\program files\exchsrv\bin)
mapi32.dll 6.5.7638.1

but when I check on blackberry.com, Doc ID:KB02937 tells me I need cdo.dll 6.5.7651.61 (we never installed the DST patch and i'm not planning it either).

Can this be the issue?
The cdo.dll on the exchange servers is the same.

yet I don't understand why it happens because I talked the user through a wipe and new EA. After the EA, we did the tests, and then we found out that calendar items sync from OL to BB, but not from the BB to OL - only for calendar items, because the mail works fine.
On BES all settings are good (wireless sync enabled), on the device, too.

... could be something in an appointment / entry that while fine in Exchange is having a problem on the HH and is causing sync problems. You could try increasing the debug logging to 5, perform some activity to generate a calendar sync (changes of some form) and report back what if anything shows up for this user.

Hi all, this is our first post so please don't go mental if we are way of the trail.

I have been looking at a similar issue to this on the new 8300 models, where meeting invites are not being sent to the handhelds for the user to accept or decline the invite. Today i noticed that sending them was also impossible. Our carrier had suggested a whole range of things over the past week including:

• resending the service books
• switching off the wireless in the secret Enterprise Activation menu and resetting
• Wiping the handheld
• Updating the device software to 4.2.2.114 from 4.2.2.67
• Applying the calendar patch at BlackBerry

All of which did not work, I came across a post that mentioned the 2007 DST patch, which we had applied on older devices before the 8300's came in. To my surprise after applying it in the handheld manager on the BES it worked! It may work for you guys or it may not, but i hope it puts you out of your missery.
