Default Desktop Manager 4.0 and Encryption Issues w/ BES

Please Login to Remove!

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed that BDM 4.0 SP1 was released 2 weeks ago. Anyhow, it fixes an issue that may have affected some of you in the recent past. I do remember a few of you who had reported issues when having BDM installed and running while hooked to a BES. This may be totally unrelated, but here is an issue that SP1 resolves:

SDR 46583

Previously, the desktop software did not update the encryption key properly during manual key generation, which caused decryption errors when sending email from the handheld to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
