Japanese Powerpoints don’t display correctly` I seem to having some of my users coming back to me and telling me that some of the powerpoints in Japanese the words are overlapping in them and they dont display correctly. Has anyone had these issues? |
What version of BES? |
sorry, version of bes is 4.1.4 and I have a seperate sql 2005 server for the besmgmt database |
we just had a problem with this in domino and telling domino to turn off mime did the trick (this was not specifically with powerpoint though) ... perhaps this: KB13639 ... |
Check the release notes I belive SP4 has a blurb about the japanese font and the files you need are included in the SP. Sorry I don't have more info but I'm away at SQL 2005 training all week. |
this didnt seem to fix the issue. Is there an english and asia language pack that I am somehow or somewhere missing here. My server software is 4.1.4 which should include every bright and shiney tool that RIM has currenlty out there. |
So I have found that on my Blackberry server that I did not have the Asia language pack installed. I believe that Blackberry uses this for the transpose on the language pack. You can find this by going to start> control panel>Regional and Language options> language tab> and there are 2 check mark boxes that need to be checked. After you checkmark these boxes it will install the additional files for the Asia package its about 250 mb. It pulls the files from the I386 dir. After installation it pops you for a restart. I installed these last Friday on my server in Japan and I am now waiting for acknowledgement back from my end user to see if this has fixed there issues. Please let me know if anyone else has advice on this topic. Thanks |
