Default Adding user to BES, wants to keep BIS email

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all...I have a small office here with 5 users, making use of BES Express.

They have just hired a new person, who brought his own BB. We want to get him on the BES system, but he is _very_ keen on keeping his BIS email. When I say 'BIS' email, I mean the @provider.blackberry.net email (i.e. not another POP email).

I am assuming that once I add him to BES, he will lose the BIS settings on his BB. Is this correct?

There are no concerns around here with policies, security, etc. that you may have in a 'big firm'. So, if there is something I can do to BES to get this to happen, there would be no problem doing so.

Can anyone provide some pointers, guidelines, etc. to deal with this one?

Thanks,

TN

As long as you dont have an IT policy that restricts his usage of BIS services then there is nothing to worry about. Just make sure he has the proper ENTERPRISE DATA PAN and he can be added. ... most people only have personal data plans until they need to get on a BES; its a bump in the monthly charge ... call his carrier to confirm.

Default Thanks...

I checked my Policy, nothing mentioned, so I went ahead and all worked.

Thanks,
