Hi All,

I have a group of 40 BB users, (BES), 6 of them are having problems reconsiling. They all have the usual RECINSILE MAILBOX & HANDHELD, MAILBOX WINS, etc, however, everytime they delete from the mailbox it will not reconsile to the handheld unless you chose RECONSILE NOW.

I have already bounced the BES server
Checked the SERVICES are running
wiped the BlackBerry devices
Checked the account privelages on the AD server
All have the usual upper case EDGE
Resent the Sevice Books

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Reconciling doesn't happen right away. I've seen it take 10-15 minutes. If it's working when you do Reconcile Now, I'd say it's working, just need to be patient....

I have but they will sit on the BB for a week, yet if I delete from the BB it reconsiles within 1 minute.

What version of BES?

Do they hard delete?

Do they empty the deleted Items folder immediately after deleing the message?


BES looks in the Deleted Items folder to find deleted items.

What i meant was it if you delete from the BB it will delete from the Desktop within 1 minute, however, it will just permanently site on the BB for days when you delete mail from the desktop unless you use reconsile now.

Latest version of BES 4.1.3
This was working fine 2 weeks agaon and nothing has been changed.
I have sat and watched this happen and the deleted items are only emptied at the end of a day.

Is there anything in common with these 6 users? Any errors in the BES logs?

What mail server / client / version are you using? Also, what version of BES?

No errors in the logs
Exchange with same service pack on both servers.
I built their server and am RIM certified for Tier1 and Tier2, but cannot get to the bottom of this. I am begining to think it's their firewall? Although PORT 3101 is open.
I work as a 3rd party, (Cable & Wireless), and do their support fro BES.

if someone makes a change in OWA or in Outlook not-cached does it act the same way? It can't be the firewall if its only happening for some people. What if any similarities do these 6 users have?

That doesn't seem to affect anything.
I have also re-checked the account memberships
