Default BES and Network Change

Please Login to Remove!

I'm fairly new to the BES environment and have a simple question. We are in the middle of upgrading our infrastructure and changing some of our IP address schemes. Currently we plan on moving our BES to a new IP address. My question is will this change of the IP address totally screw up all of my 6 Blackberry users? These are mostly Doctor's and I don't want to have to schedule to reconfigure their devices. Any help you guys and gals can provide would be great.

thanks,

Newbie BES administrator....

Change IP will not effect BES but you should make sure the new IP is in all the firewall rules you need.

Also, if domino, update the server and connection documents in Domino to ensure replication between Admin and BES Server is on going .....and if you have a DR Server that uses ND replication for the state databases.

We use Groupwise so I'll make sure that it doesn't require any information from the Gateways or Post Offices. Thanks for the help about the firewall and I'll add it to my notes.

thanks
