Default Setting Calender Sync without Desktop Software?

Please Login to Remove!

Is it possible to configure the blackberries to sync the calender and contacts without setting up the desktop software? I have 9 blackberries that i need to have email, calender and contacts synced for across the country and i would prefer to not have to install software on their systems to configure this. I cant do it from my machine because I am not in possession of most of these devices.

Thanks

a_user, I saw your last thread indicating that you have a BES, but is it 4.1? If it is, that should all work by default. With 4.1 BES and handhelds running 4.1 or greater, everything should work almost flawlessly OTA right out of the box - no BDM required. We don't even install it here unless the user needs to tether.

Hi,

Yes thats right we have BES 4.1 (express). The bb's are running 4.1+ .

Okay so I figured out what happened. Apparently when the first one I ran through was syncing it got stuck at 11% and ended up getting cancelled. Even though it has been sending and receiving emails fine since then.

The second 7250 i was setting up, appears everything synced up fine on it.

So I am guessing for the one that did not completely sync, i re-sync it but not sure the option? The only thing I see that appears anywhere near relevant is to resend the service book...but i wouldnt think i should have to download all the applications again for it clear just the data and resync itself.

Maybe thats the only option though.

If it didn't complete its activation, you will want to set an activation password for that user and re-activate. You may want to wipe the BB first too just to be sure you are starting fresh. If that BB still has problems activating, it may be an issue with the user's mailbox.
