Default Bes 4.1 on Exch 2003 SP2 - veritas backup issue?

Please Login to Remove!

We have moved our blackberry server onto the exchange box after consulting Rim who advised that in our small organisation the move wouldn't have performance issues.

We use Symantec / Veritas backup exec 10d and since the installation onto the exchange server we get hundreds of similar notifications of:

Access denied to file Administrator [administrator]xxx61478;Top of Information Storexxx61478;Calendarxxx61478;aTest.
V-79-57344-33928 - Access is denied.

We backup mailboxes for simple restoration - we also perform a full exchange server backup as well. We want to keep the mailbox backup as a nice to have.

Any useful advice such as permissions on mailbox backups would be great.
Kind Regards
fosse

There has been some chatter on here about upgrades to 11 fix this; specifically with the mailbox level backups.

For the amount of additional overhead the individual mailbox backup requires I can't see why anyone would do it; unless you're restoring mailboxes all the time...

Upgrade to 11D and update it with additional hotfixes using the Help About menu.
