Default Error in BES 4.0 for GW while trying to set AdressBookSubscribed in PIM Sync area

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

When ever I try to set a specific address book I get an error from the BB Mgr saying:
(Window Title) BlackBerry Manager
Application Error - please report to support personnel if problem persists.

At this point I can not use OK or Apply buttons, only Cancel works. However, if I click cancel then go back into the properties the setting is retained.

This error is generated even if I clear the field, as soon as I try to click OK or Apply after editing that feild it happens.

HELP!!! (My BB Support Chain is not very quick in response)

Thanks

I get those occasionally as well. have been since the beginning of the beta. Sometimes the settings take and sometimes they don't. Usually if I just restart the blackberry manager everything is fine.

I haven't had any experience with GW clients and the DM....but from a domino/notes....yes
If you are referring to the Translator for the Address book..then it is a known issue as far as Lotus Notes is concerned. A couple of workarounds that has proved successful for me is installing the older version of the desktop manager and setting the translator selections and then "upgrading" with the 4.0 install. In other cases it was necessary to create a registry subkey for the notes client (tend to happen with the R6 clients) to identify the complete path statement.

He's talking about within the blackberry manager (for managing BES, not the DM). I've seen these errors fairly randomly doing different things within the BM. I screenshot it and send it to RIM when I get one.

Sure next time I get one. I haven't in a while though, and I'm pretty sure it's related to GW BES.
