This is probably an easy one but I've got some strange problems with meeting requests. We are on 4.1.4.12 and Exchange 2k3 sp2 with upto date CDO/MAPI dll's. When I send one to a blackberry device the meeting request goes into the outlook inbox but never appears in the BB inbox. The meeting goes into the calendar on the BB but there doesn't seem to be an option to accept or decline it and it does appear as accepted on the outlook item. Is this normal behaviour or am I missing something?

I've had that issue on the occasional Blackberry around here, but it took nothing more than a reactivation to clear up. I think it was a corrupt service book issue at the root of the issue. Hopefully, your issue will be as easily fixed.

I've resent the service books to my device and its still the same unfortunately. This is a brank spanking new BES 4.1.4 system with newly activated wiped devices. Let me just get this right, should I see a meeting request email in my BB device inbox that I can accept or decline as I can't ever remember seeing one?

you should get meeting requests on the handheld. i am experiencing this issue with my BES in India. They are not getting the message and are unable to accept or decline from their BB

Glad to see someone else is seeing the problems! So are the service books carrier related of something I can look at on my BES?

I've seen this once or twice before and never figured it ourt. While I'm not convinced it's related to the network, I have only ever come across the problem with BlackBerry devices on O2.

I am experiencing exactly the same problem as mentioned in the first post with one user in particular. I am slightly flustered by the lack of info I am able to find with assistance towards fixing it.

I got to the bottom of this eventually, it was to do with the BESADMIN users permissions. Our BESADMIN was an exchange administrator rather than having the recommended permission's. As soon as we "downgraded" the users permissions the meeting requests started working correctly. Hope this helps!
