I am generally able to search this forum for very solid suggestions for my BES issues; however, I've hit a wall this time.

I have a user who has been able to send but not receive e-mail for about 5 days. In that time, I have had the user wipe, and re-activate the device wirelessly. Still no luck. The BES reports all messages are going through fine (nothing pending or filtered) and contact with this particular device appears to be working like a champ.

That said, while digging through the GWQM logs, I see this:

[34057] (09/04 00:21:10):{0x1A0C} {98} {Username} Subscribed Folders = 0: None

Now, folder redirection on the device is set as it should be. Mailbox and Sent Items. I've confirmed it over and over again, considering this is an end user after all.

I'm stuck. Any direction my fellow BES admins can provide is GREATLY appreciated.

Have you tried restarting the BES or the controller & dispatcher service atleast?

Also, delete the Desktop[CMIME] service book and resend it through the BES.

Defo try the service book first (as mentioned above)

Secondly, I'm sure you've checked this but worth mentioning - is the new mail for the user going into their inbox? I had a user once who had set up all sorts of delivery rules into folders, these folders were not being redirected to BB, and then they wondered where their mail was on the BB!

Thirdly, what mail system are you using? If it is Domino, I have had this problem when a user had a partially corrupt state database. The $Inbox folder was missing from the state DB, so BES was simply ignoring Inbox in the users mailfile. The way to fix that is to delete state DB and restart BES (will rebuild state DB) - alternatively delete user from BES, allow all system DBs to delete then re-add user.

Services restart seems to have corrected the issue. I should have considered that myself. Thanks for the input, my fellow BES geeks.
