Default Auto Reconciliation ?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm working with someones BB on our GroupWise BES. He prefers to manage his email on the handheld, and would like the email to be deleted from GroupWise when he deletes it from the BB.

Right now, any time he reads a message on the BB, the status is not shown in his GroupWise. In other words, the message will still show unread.

If he deletes it on the BB, it still appears in his GroupWise.

If we do a 'Reconcile Now', the status of all the messages will change appropreately.

The email settings on his BB are set as follows:

Delete on: Mailbox and Handheld
Wireless Reconcile: On
On Conflicts: Handheld Wins

Can someone tell me what I am missing? When I make the same changes on my own BB, mail is correctly deleted from the BB and GroupWise.

Thanks,
Rob

How long as this been an issue? Has it ever deleted on both the HH and in GW? If he opens or deletes the mail on GW, does it reflect that on the handheld? I would check the BES and verify that his device is set to bidirectional. If so, do a battery pull on the device and resend the service books from the BES

I am not sure how long ago it stopped working. Probably a week or two. Nothing has changed on our BES and to my knowledge, nothing has changed on his BB.

When I delete a message on his GW, it does not delete it on the BB. That is, until I do a reconcile now.

I verified that the device is set to bidirectional and resent the service books, but no change.

Any other suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,
Rob
