We have setup a BES server for a Nextel reseller. They have a SBS 2000 server running Exchange 2000 with SP4. The BES server is running Windows 2003 and BES 3.6 with the Exchange 2000 admin installed with the same service pack installed.

According to the manual users email, contacts and task should synchronizes with the users Blackberrys. If they delete an email on there handheld it should be deleted on there workstation. But it's not!


One more thing, The handheld is version 3.7.

Am I missing something? The manual sucks!

With anything less than version 4.0 (BES, Handheld), you won't get wireless sync of the contacts and tasks. That would only work for the calendar.

As for the email reconciliation you could try a number of things.

Remove/Add the user to the BES then generate a new key
Delete the service book responsible for email reconciliation and make a new key. If you're not sure which book it is, clear the entire database.
