Exclamation BES Admin courses

Please Login to Remove!

Hi
does anyone know of any good BES admin courses which are UK based? Are there any good companies people can vouch for?

I've been using the BES 4.1 for a while now and can do the basics but now am looking for the courses to get me up to speed with all aspects of the BES.

Following on from this does anyone know if and when BES 5 is out and when courses for this might be available in the UK?

Thanks in advance for your replies..

Paul

RIM have their own certification program which has been about for a while now. The problem is that if, like me, you don't care about the courses and just want the exams, then you're screwed as you had to do the course which was wildly expensive. RIM have now woken up and I believe they are looking at changing the way their certification system works so you can simply take the exams.

RIM have a series of courses (with no exams) coming up in London. This link shows the dates and booking options for everything this year:

I will say that the instructors for the classes are pretty good. We've had a fair amount of interaction with them and sent some people off to training with all positive feedback ... granted we're based in the US so you probably wouldn't get the same instructors, but I would think the quality would be on par.

Yikes...they are all in London. Hopefully they will schedule some in the US soon.... That's a long trip for a 1 day class (and I don't even have a passport).

I just took the 2 Admin and Supporting BES 4.1 classes at the end of August. Luckily, it was 6 minutes from my house. Good classes; very informative. I looked at them as the prep classes for the Certification coming up this winter.

I'm hoping to take the exams for Certified BlackBerry Enterprise Server Administrator and Certified BlackBerry Support Specialist as soon as they are offered.

Yeah I hope they get a move on with it. I've done my MCTS in Windows Mobile and could do with some BlackBerry stuff to balance the CV out!!!!
