Default MSDE of MS SQL ?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, We're running BES 4.0 for GroupWise with currently 15 users on it. The DB is running on MSDE2000 and since we are going to add more users to the server, I was wondering if it's still a good idea to continue with MSDE or should we switch over to SQL (performance wise)??

Thanks

If you expect to have a couple hundred users....you should consider SQL as a solution for backup/failover/disaster and ease of administration....
MSDE is the cheap way to go, but it has its limitations. There is a cap on the potential size it can grow to..2GB.
Each user would potentially require ~1->2MB and the db itself would require ~100MB, these are the basic size and growth requirements of the config db.
For SQL you would require another license (depending on your position with MS).
