Default Stopping users activating another BB on the BES if already listed?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

Does anyone know if its possible to stop users, once they are added to the BES and activated on 1 device, to then move there sim into another BB they have procured and using the desktop activation, setup this new handheld?

Reason being, we dont support all models of BB's for certain reasons, so we only want certain models on the network.

Thanks

Scott

You want to do Enterprise Service Policy. With it you define the PIN of the device to be supported by your BES.

Default Stopping certain models from connecting to your BES

I believe you can (thru BES Policies) restrict which handheld models can connect to your BES. If you haven't already make sure to read thru all the policies offered by the version of BES you are running. You can find some good stuff in there that will make your BES administration easier.

You don't use IT Policy to do this, you use Enterprise Service Policy which is a feature, if you will, of BES 4.1
