No video recording on the 8100, even with 4.5. The Curve will sport video recording, though.

This enquiring mind wants to know-- how much free space after a full install? In keeping with the thread's topic, maybe you could post a screenshot of the Status panel?
Thanks!

4. I haven't tried to install it yet, but the version I have installed in 4.2.1 works under 4.5 after upgrading.

There are major network stability issues with the version he's using, however a lot of bugs were fixed with the next version.

I'm guessing instead of turning on R or G or B, it turns on all 3 lights at once ... so you get a mesh of colors that looks differently depending on how you look at the trackball.

How many versions are usually "cooked" before they actually release the final one? At least we could compute for ETA...

Nobody knows for sure. I heard a rumor of first/second week of April for a European carrier. We just need to wait and see, though.

No one knows.
The 8100 will get an update thingy. No one has a date (read the thread - it is stated a few times).
Yes, it will get v5. Version 5 will include a drill.

There are few more bugs in this beta, cant wait for official release:
- stereo adaper plays only 1 channel (mono)
- after receiving or answering a call sounds when dialing a number are VERY loud..
- there is a 'Remove Media Card' option in media cards menu :-D

that's not a bug and it actually already exists in 4.2.1
I never used it, but I guess you have to use it before you remove your media card permanently, so the BB can remove all the references to the media card

You're right, I thought It was from Pearl 2 where you can remove the card without turning off the phone...

Requesting a download link for OS 4.5 in a reported post is just not a smart thing to do.

Not really sure. Until they get it right, I suppose... but I would imagine they're starting to feel pressure to get something out. Since the version the OP has, there have been a number of others ...I can think of at least 6 builds have been released since the .9 release. They have become increasingly more stable since then.

If you go back and look he does ask for a link to the software, and as a second request he asks how to be on the beta test list. Also you can assume that the beta 4.3 he has was not obtained legally either if he is asking how to be on the beta test list to obtain 4.5.

Hello,
I'm trying OS 4.5.0.18 beta in my 8100. Another bug for this beta:
-Led indicator is flashing when you have a mail. If you read or delete the mail, the led indicator is always red. And you can't turn off. In this case, the battery goes very quickly. To solve the problem, you have to reboot the 8100.
