There are 2 solutions for that:
1. Options>Screen/Keyboard>LED Coverage Indicator: On
2. Use Blinkberry

Great update, but I noticed that when I finished updating, I lost my Internet Browser. It defaulted to t-zones (I'm with T-Mobile). How can I get my Internet Browser back?

Yeah Ive been using it for about 2 days now. Its nice and all but it has its flaws
Heres what Im having problems with. In desktop manager I cant do a backup/restore of my application settings and etc (it just freezes at that screen, never transfers). Could be because of the compatiability of the Desktop software to 4.5OS. Next my free memory went from 22MBS with 4.2.1 OS to 6MB's with the 4.5OS. Whats new that takes up 16MBs? Its so frustrating since I lost all my application permissions since it wont sync (example my Jivetalk screennames are gone, I have to reregister Empower EMV Pro, Jivetalk, and etc). Some apps dont work, kinda expected as they aren't 4.5 compatible yet.

I cannot sync my phone with Outlook. I am running 4.5 OS version .18 and using DM 4.3.
Anyone else experience this? If so what is the solution?

No, that is to send a Calendar Appointment to another user, and you can select the address from which to send the message.

The option is there, but it will only work if you are on BES.

If you're using Outlook 2000 then DM 4.3 doesn't support it.

When you say you can't sync what do you mean. What is the issue? What have you tried? What message(s) are you getting? Are you able to sync just your contacts? How about just your calendar? Etc...

I installed SO 4.5.0.18 for a BB 8100.
Everything seems to be working ok. I have experienced little stability issues under heavy use, but nothing serious.
I was very interested in Documents to go. So far I have been able to use it only to open .doc or .ppt files stored in the memory card. However I didn't find the way to open e-mail attachments in Documents to go, when I try to open an attachment, the previous viewer shows up and it doesn't give me the option to store the file in the memory card.
Is that the way it should work, am I doing something wrong, or is it a bug that is going to be corrected in the final version?

that is the way it should work. you do not have the BIS/BES upgrade that needs to go along with it. you will only be able to open files already on the media card, AND you will have very limited selection of options within Docs2Go

Haha, but that is not technically a problem. It is suppose to do that.
The only way to turn off the green light (that I know of) is to use Blinkberry. The problem with that is it only works till you get a message and then the green light comes back and you have to re-enable blinkberry.

Ya if you pull the battery the light will go off. But only till you get a message and then it goes back to solid red.
You need to leave the coverage indicator on or use blinkberry to turn it off every single time you get a message.

I gotta ask, as this bug has been driving me nuts on 4.2.1.X versions of the 8100 OS. I have (and apparently many others), problems with bluetooth. In particular, when using a bluetooth GPS, after a while the bluetooth connection craps out on the blackberry, and the GPS stops updating.
Except, there's no indication that the bluetooth connection has failed, except when you find yourself completely lost and notice that your position on the map is strangely fixed in a place you were some time ago
This bluetooth issue is apparently a software bug in the 4.2.1.X versions of the OS, downgrading to 4.2.0.X versions resolves the problem.
I'm wondering if this bluetooth software bug is fixed in 4.5?
Anyone who saw this problem on their blackberries with 4.2.1.X tried to reproduce this on 4.5 beta?

I'm confused.
I have all these features (literally all of them) on my 8120 with OS v4.3.0.105.
Everything even looks the same, too..
?

Thanks for your answer...
I'll have to wait a little longer then. Anyway 4.5 is great, and the final version should be even better...

not all, but most. keep in mind the 8100, 8700, 88xx, and 83xx devices will not get 4.3 they will get 4.5. Your 4.3 is only the for the 8330, 8110, 8120, and 8130 devices.

Will I get a 4.5 update too though?
What features are there on 4.5 that aren't on 4.3?
