Default AT&T to release OS 4.5 June 24th - 06-05-2008, 11:38 PM

I have it from a pretty reliable source that AT&T is shooting for a June 24th launch of OS 4.5. I don't know the final version number they will be releasing but I'm guessing 4.5.0.42. 4.5.0.37 is preloaded on the 8120 from Rogers so it's possible that could be their version, too.

I have nothing in writing or any press release to back this up but thought I'd pass along the info.

Thanks John for the information.

Did you happen to hear what devices this was for?

Is AT&T usually the first to break an OS update? I hope that this is a sign that we will see it from Rogers or others even sooner. Thanks JC

AT&T has rarely been first in releasing OS updates, but that could change.

If you check the 8300 section Sticky Notes here, you will see that Vodacom has released an earlier version of 4.5 for 8310, so I guess AT&T technically won't be first.

Its hard to say who is the first to release...Sometimes you can find the Asian carriers OS's faster than us...

I would guess now that 4.5.0.37 has been released for the 8120 and 4.5.0.18 for the 8310, we'll see versions out on several carriers for most BBs prior to June 24th.

I hope that the 8100 release is something beyond 4.5.0.37. There are still issues with that OS.

I have a source that told me that Vodafone will release the 4.5 OS within 3 to 4 weeks.
