good day everybody, i finally got a hold of the v4.5.0.42 platform 2.7.0.60 and loaded it onto the tmo 8120. tmo 8120 came with 4.3, i was not able to find a huge difference in between the two OS, 4.5 does come with document on the go which is nice to have, some of the 4.5 actual UI is different compared to 4.3.

everything seems to be running good so far. i am having a bit of issue though. my voicemail icon is stuck on the screen, i went deleted all voicemail i have through tmo, still there, so i used a different phone left a voicemail on my line, i went in delete it as well hope it reset the actual voicemail. now i am still stuck with the icon.

i think this has to do with the new OS loaded on the phone, prior to upgrade to 4.5, 4.3 was running just fine.

anybody have this issue?

There have been issues with Voicemail on the TMo BB's with OS 4.5. Most of the time the icon doesn't show up at all. It's possible that the same problem is preventing it from disappearing. You can try calling Tmobile and see if they can reset it for you.

thanks for the reply, not only that. whenever i get a voicemail, my own phone number will be calling me, it was like this on any BB i had on tmo. basically my own phone number dials in and doesnt matter if i answer it or ignore it, it will keep calling myself until i check my voicemail. its kind of cool, but sometime when i am busy and that is why i wasnt going to pick the actual call, it gets really annoying.

I tried this after using a version or two of 4.5 that the voicemail icon doesn't work. It was going to be a workaround til the voicemail icon was fixed but after using it, I'm sold. I'm not switching back to TMo's voicemail.

4.5 available at this place. its officially released.

as for my issue, my bb wont do email anymore, did delete service book, remove readd email, register now and everything else along the line. able to do some email through UMA, so i am going to try this official released 4.5 hope it will work better.

focus, I wouldn't load .37 on your TMobile device. Many fried sim cards as well as no UMA on that version.
