Default MediaSync Installation Error - 06-23-2008, 07:09 PM

Has anyone else gotten an error while installing MediaSync. On one of my machines it installed without any problems but my other system I got the following error:

You are attempting to install a version of the BlackBerry Media Sync software which supports a different messaging environment than the version of the BlackBerry Media Sync software currently installed. This is not a supported option. The setup program cannont continue and will now exit.

I have tried installing this with the official 4.5 DM and the 4.6 bundle 8 beta which I have on my machine that it installed fine on.

Any ideas of what causes this error. If I find anything I will let other know.

Got it, so my BlackBerry Manager is causing this error? Seems crazy, I will try in a few days and report back. Not looking forward to having to reinstall BlackBerry Manager.

You can only have one on a system at a time. Bb Manager, BB Unite, MediaSync. Not sure why but that is how it goes.

its not Desktop Manager. Do you have unite or BlackBerry Manager (BES) installed?

after Sync is installed can I re-install the BES manager?
