That's an earlier beta. Even newer ones are still buggy.

I have no info on that version. I heard that .43 was still somewhat buggy.

I wouldn't go that far. I've heard .48 for GSM devices is pretty well bug free and is a good release candidate across most carriers.

But this is .33, Release 48 : -)

I have read from others in other Betas, the issue of voice quality.

My hope is that we will see improved betas once the initial one is out in the open.

Correct. There is an app ver .43 out there. Don't remember the build number.

Just don't "put it out in the open" here.

I have heard that .33 on 8830 has issues like no longer being able to use cap or alt-scroll to select multiple messages, as well as ALT-ENTER no longer locking the keyboard.

I think there were others, but can't remember what they were off the top of my head.

I can confirm that both of those issues exist on the 8830 and the 8330.
Both devices were on BES, so not sure if that's a factor.

well, I might try this beta out on my 8830 tomorrow. I'm really curious to try out 4.5. hopefully it doesn't prove to be too buggy.

The only Down side of the O.S. for me is the media player not working right... It plays some video's and not other's no rhyme or reason, all are the same format...

If you do install it, please let us know what, if any, bugs you find. The users I talked to were using Sprint, but Dawg is using Verizon (no issues there).

I'm curious to know if other CDMA carrier devices will have same/similar issues or not.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

Does the file host grp allow you to download the file more than once?
I deleted the file but am now getting the courage.

Maybe it's not installed. Unless you removed the .cod for Voicenotes I don't know why it wouldn't install. Could be not included in that beta version. That's an early cdma beta version.

I tried it for a few hours, and then downgraded to my old OS.

I didn't see any html viewing ability in email, not much difference in the browser, and there was no provision to choose "Desktop" mode in the BB browser. Likely, that will all change when carriers release their production versions.

RIM is upgrading BIS this weekend that will allow HTML (as long as you have OS 4.5).

If you go to your blackberry messenger and app click you can choose to send a voicenote. These will be saved where u have no controls. Not sure how else to make it work. BTW I tried to send a voicenote to a non OS 4.5 user with no luck.

Wow.
I did the download. I have no connectivity. It says I have no browser configuration.

In the app loader, 4.5 Core applications was gray. so was the Browser

I am using 4.2 DM.

I could do without all the extra bells and whistles for a while if i could find a way to get the Alpha Sans font on my phone. Sharp!
