Default 2.9 MB Attachment Limit with

Please Login to Remove!

I'm running on a t-mobile 8320, and when I send a large email attachment -- either a jpeg or mov file -- to the blackberry and attempt to download said attachment, I get a pop-up that says "attachment exceeds the maximum download size of 2.9 MB."

According to t-mobile, the maximum attachment size is 8 MB. Where did this 2.9 MB come from?

Of course, supersized jpegs will display scaled down.

As far as sending movies from the blackberry, the same 2.9 MB limit appears to hold, which means the maximum length for a 240x180 pixel movie would be approx 75 seconds, if you want to email it.

I think its TMobile and not the OS as I'm restricted in downloading anything at or above 5MB. It might be 2.9MB, though.
