Default 8310, 4.5.0.52 (75) clicking on Options/About...

Please Login to Remove!

...nothing happens. I click on it with the trackball or hitting return on the keyboard. Alt+Shift+H works not problem though.

Tried soft reset and battery pull but no joy. It was working fine until recently. Any ideas?

Did you happen to delete Voice Activated Dialing to save some space.

Options / About apparently relies on one of the VAD modules.

Type ALT EACE on the home screen. Or ALT CAP H will give you the same info.

Same question got asked yesterday.

Yep, I removed the VAD when I loaded the firmware (at the same time).

It was working fine for a while that's why I dint think it was related to what I removed when loaded the firmware.

It's a known fact that when you remove VAD the Options >About screen becomes inaccessible. If you used my instructions for how to remove it you should have seen the note about it.

I did read your instruction months ago - BTW great guide thank you - never went back to read the updates. It might be strange but it was working for a while. Anyway no point discussing this further if that's a known issue.
