Default 4.6.0.162 rebooting

I've been running this version for several days. I have been very impressed with the memory and performance. It has seemed to be very stable. I've been working with pretty much every version of 4.6 that has been found in the wild.

I'm posting this more as a data point in case any RIM folks happen to be quietly reading.

I've never seen any of the mysterious rebooting..... until today. The only real difference in when it does freeze up and reboot... is where I am. Currently I am using an AT&T SIM in my Bold. I am traveling in Argentina. In order to get a good 3G signal, I am choosing to manually select a carrier down here. There are 3.

The problem seems to appear when I am working on an underground floor in a building in downtown Buenos Aries. The signal is minimal in this location. As 3G signal is lost, the phone switches over to EDGE without any issues. But as that edge signal gets weak, the phone starts looking for another carrier. And that seems to be when I see the application error and white screen. I have also see the phone reboot in this environment.

Once leaving the building and getting a stronger signal, I have seen no issues at all. Not a single freeze or reboot. But I saw it underground 4 times within 6 hours today. That seems to point in some type of switching issue causing/contributing to the freeze.

I am not part of the official RIM Bold beta program. So I don't have any official way to report these findings. I am just hoping someone who is part of the program will see this and can add this data to any other that might be out there.

Regards.
