I will again, since it seems to bear repeating about every 20 posts here.

The release versions in the initial post of THIS thread do not indicate that those releases are "in the wild". Most of the time, they are not. The release versions you see in that post come from various sources of people in the know, and other odd places, on which a few of us trust as reliable. The release numbers posted there may only be the latest RIM app version known, and still only 'internal'.

So, there's no need to ask in this thread. We've tried to keep this thread clean for only updates and such related to that initial post.

This forum has a Beta OS section. Please ask there. And don't be surprised if you get the same answer as the one above.
Thank you for taking the time to explain. On CrackBerry it said they are in the wild, but I am getting really sick of the way things are going there so I appreciate your patience with me.

If you have a Javelin 8900, it doesn't get no beta than this.

the LATEST OFFICIAL release for the bold is .247.
.249 may be on the net somewhere as a BETA
and .265 is the latest KNOWN OS that the developers are working on.
(which appears strange considering they should be working on 5.0.0.110)

There are two different/seperate teams working on 5.0 and the 4.X series.

.131 just leaked.

Is the main post in this thread going to be updated? The numbers referenced for v5 are ancient. ;)

I haven't seen anything new since 4.5.0.124. It seems to me that since the Bold and Storm came out, activity on the Curve has dried up.

This thread is about beta OS's. That is an officially released OS.

Cool Is two years the innovative lifespan for Blackberry Hardware? - 04-21-2009, 06:23 PM

I agree. So what does that mean? Is it doing all that it will do, as best as it will do it? If I want more do I need new Hardware?

I think that maybe two years with a device is possibly its innovative lifespan.

Thoughts?

Thoughts... no, the lifespan of the curve has not run out.

And this thread is not the place to discuss it, please start a new one.

Thanks!

Here's what I don't get...
Bold (9000): 4.6.0.266 is pretty high up and leaked (may not be the newest, but pretty darn close)

Storm (9500/9530): 4.7.0.201 yet the highest leak is .141? WTF?
We need some higher up leaks to fix some of these issues! Hell, my Bold didn't even become that stable until .200+

Come on Storm Ninjas!

The 8x30 CDMA 4.5.0.138 listed in the first post is not an 'unreleased' version - it's available now as a standard download. So has anyone head of a later update for 8x30?
