Hi Guys,
I rely on UMA for reception at home with very poor cellular signal inside my house. The write-up mentions UMA holding calls better and I will suddenly disconnect during some calls. Can anyone comment on UMA improvement with this OS?
Thanks!

UMA seems solid but then again, I didn't have a problem before. Probably because I don't talk on the phone very much so I haven't noticed.

Battery life seems yet again improved over 133 and 144. It's tough to say because normally I'm at work and on EDGE (in more than one way) and not at home on UMA. Been off the cradle for 6hrs and I'm at 95% battery with moderate usage.

Installed last night - so far soo good... havent really noticed any problems, but then again didnt really notice anything before either.

I've had one issue since I got the phone and that was on UMA during a phone call... someone else called me and left a voicemail... as soon as the voicemail notification came through my current phone call ended. I also got a text message about the same time.

Is there some kind of limit to the amount of data coming in or something which would cause that or just an issue that needs to be fixed? Note that this was on the previous OS and not this beta install.

Ok, so it's been about 13 hours since I took it off the charger this morning. I've been logged into AIM and G-talk all day, I've had WiFi on the whole time with about 9 of those hours connected to UMA. I made a 52 minute UMA call without it dropping (although I never had a problem before). I also used both G-talk and Blackberry messenger occasionally thoughout the day. Used the browser a couple times as well.

As of right now I'm at 70% battery remaining.

Coincidently just got email from Blackberry that my carrier recomends update of OS and the one listed is 4.6 .1.133. Apparently that is official for T-Mobile USA now. Maybe with these issues would be better to "downgrade" from 4.6.1.152.

I am not sure if this is an issue in 152 or issue for the whole 4.6 but I was on the phone the other night and I was TM uma and i was playing with the router (dd wrt) and rebooted it while i was on the phone the call was dropped. I remember on my 8320 i didn't have problem transitioning from wifi uma to regular wireless network.

This beta OS seems to be rebooting my phone a lot.

It tends to randomly turn off wifi after a while, and if you try to turn it back on, the phone reboots itself.

Other than that, I haven't found any other issues with it. I am going to revert back to .133, just because I like my wifi =P

That is normal. The device needs to sense that its losing signal inorder to make the transition. If you suddenly lose the wifi it can't make the handoff. Rebooting the router while on a call will always result in a dropped call.

Any secret to upgrading 8900 to the .152 (or the .133)? I deleted the vendor file, made some adjustments in the blackberry.alx file to enable some additional themes and desktop manager would not recognize the new OS. Deleted the old OS one from computer.

I tried using the loader app in the apploader file, but that left me with an error and no working OS and had to do a lot of work getting my phone back to the original .114.

I have upgraded both my 8100 and 8320 to newer OS ... regular and beta, with no problems. Don't know if it is different with Device Manager 4.7.0.32. Should I downgrade to another version of DM?

I believe DM 4.7 does not recognize beta OS. Try using DM 4.6.. it should be Okay.

I've used DM 4.7 to load all of the OSes to the 8900 with no problem. One strange thing I did notice is with .133 beta if I deleted the vendor.xml, desktop manager no longer recognized the upgrade.. Odd, but after I replaced the file, all went back to normal.

Been running .152, but if you use youtube, I'd recommend .133.
