Hmm, I don't know then. I know .240 is a bad build though, you don't wanna even touch that. But I also heard a lot of people at RIM weren't even using this build because it was bad.

I'm waiting to see what the battery life is like with .241 before I make any final decisions on it. Last night I wasn't impressed so I'll keep an eye on it today. I'd also like to hear some feedback on the 3G signal and if it's improved or worse.

Default Learned my lesson - sort of.. :) - 02-26-2009, 09:40 AM

OK - THIS time I'm going to use XP or Windows Server2003 to update the phone instead of Windows 7. So I've learned that using a beta to update a beta isn't bright.

On the other hand... I'm updating the phone, right? Again. Don't they have a patch you can wear from the drug store for this sort of addiction?

Been running it all day and I haven't noticed any issues. Who is saying to run away from it?

I removed it yesterday, battery life was horrid to say the least. With .237 I'm getting great battery life and I'm also reading on other forums that .241 isn't a solid build either, it was released to fix the media player bug. I haven't been hearing any good things about .244 either.

No issues with 241 at all. Signal and battery are no different than 237 for me.

I have been running .241 for a couple of days and it has performed fine for me. No noticeable reduction of battery life. Applications including slingplayer beta work without issue. Running Bold on at&t network. Upgraded from .234 which seemed to have some font issues.

I'm still running .167. I'm a tad risk-averse when it comes to by BB and just want to upgrade to the next official version (.221) or maybe .237. Is there any way to do this OTA? I don't have the desktop software.
Thanks!

Not unless your carrier releases it officially. There is a wireless upgrade option, but I've never seen a release done that way.

For some reason, I lost my BB Messenger with this upgrade. I have tried everything I can think of to get it back. It shows to be installed by the App Loader. But it doesn't show up in the Instant Messaging folder or any other folder. Very strange.
