Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy) Indeed. Problem is, its only useful if the person you are adding is right next to you |

...and of course this means that you can post it on your website, on your Facebook homepage, at your BlackberryForums avatar, and send it to somebody in an email.... I imagine you could wind up with a zillion anonymous BBM "buddies" in record time this way... |
Yep, tried it and was asked if I wanted to add it to my contact list. View the Bar Code in your camera and it will instantly launch into the mode to store the contact...pretty cool, unless you have a model without a camera. |
I know these are QR codes or something similar, but how to I get my 8900 to do anything with them. When I take a picture, I just get a picture. |

i installed the bbm 5.0 and i loved the features on it, including the barcode, however less than 50% of my messages were going though so i had to go back to the 4.7 . verry dissapointing. |
where can you download the new BBM? |
Blackberrynews.com |

Why would the data take longer? Is it going through a different system or something like that? Hopefully it just due to limited bandwidth while this is being tested. |

I started laughing out loud here at the office. Try explaining this concept to a group of people that can barely answer their Blackberries! ;-) |
Yeah MrKyoo is sick! |

Must add that there is the option to save your barcode as .png in your media card, that way you don't need any other software to take snapshots to publish it in any page. Luv this BBM 5 |
can't open the "bbm_barcode.png" files posted here. |

I couldn't open the .png files in a browser, either. Right click it, save it to someplace on your computer and work it from there. If you have Vista, it will open in Windows Photo Gallery. Otherwise, you can open it with Paint and add it from there. |

I have BBM 5.0 and I saved a png of my barcode to my memory card, but when I copy it to my computer and try to open the png my computer says that the png is a corrupt file. Anyone else having any problems like this? |
I was able to open mine using the Opera web browser (on Mac). Read somewhere that MS Paint should open it. |
