Hey installed BBM 5.0 by copying and pasting the .alx and two .cod files into the shared folder, just wondering if its any kinda of a deal that it dosent say 5.0 on the app list? i dont think that it matters just wanted to ask tho

it will say 5.0 if it is installed corectly. i did it ota and it didnt really work for me, most of my messages werent going through, so ui went back to 4.7... i see you have a 8900 but if you wanted to try this ota site mabe it can help you.

Copying and pasting doesn't do anything. You need to install the file, not copy it on your memory card.

Go to stormota.com and search for the link pertaining to your phone. There is a link to the javelin(8900). I installed it yesterday and it works fantastic AND says 5.0

.alx files need to be loaded via Desktop Manager.

I had the same missed message issue, then tried the recommendation in the sticky to re-register on the network. That seems to have fixed it for me.

I went back to 4.7 and it worked fine. Can't stand having a higher upgrade so I tried the 5.0 again....Downloaded through DM everything went fine. Phone initialized it shows in the App file with 2 modules but will not work. What have I done wrong. I did reconnect with Blackberry and have resent the service books. Any Suggestions

Delete the BBM and try the OTA one from blackberrynews.com
