Default Sending Pictures with BlackBerry Messenger 5.0 - 07-21-2009, 09:10 PM

It is disappointing with BBM 5 has no crop option for sending and receiving pictures to other BBM 5 users. The full images is offered and the other user has to click Accept and Save, then the file transfer starts. If sending to a user with BBM < 5 then a screen pops up to crop the photo and it sends the 15k image for instant viewing like it always has.

I send random pictures all the time and this is going to slow things down. Bring back and option to send quick pictures!! Sending 600k over EDGE is not fun.

The new picture sending is wicked lame... It would be awesome if they did the old school little pic and also gave you the option to download the full pic if you wanted or something like that. I would much rather get the speed of the the mini pic than the quality of the full image since most of the time it's a 'hey look at this' moment then a 'better print this one out' type thing.

Agree this is a dumb option. i have to zoom out in order to send the "full" pic. hopefully when 5.0 official comes out they fix this.

hey...when you do this the other person sees a smaller image, not the full size.
