How are you installing it? For some reason when I try to install, it takes a while to initalize and I end up with an error that says:

Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation.

Had to go back to 4.7. For those that installed 5.0, how did you do it?

I read on another site (CB or BBOS)?? Where the users stated that BBM didn't work. Maybe Zero will shine some light on this.

When you load it, remove the “BlackBerry Internal Apps for RIM Version 5.0.0″ before installing this OS on your device. This can be found in your PC at Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.

However, there are some sites that posted hybrids, where you can bypass my suggestion.

Problems I'm encountering:

Viigo: Articles only scroll one line, then stop. Must open in browser to view. Menus function/scroll appropriately
Socialscope: Uncaught exception / Module not loaded; still trying to find a workaround.

Noticeable differences:
VZW Theme: The 1XEV sign has been changed to read "3G"

Threaded SMS is awesome.

No BBM 5.0, it loads BBM .7 which works fine. Not FB, Gtalk, AIM, MSN, Yahoo.

Anyone have any issues to report with this release? I'm thinking of getting it for my GF's tour. I'd kinda like to know what i'm getting her into tho.

Viigo has the only showstopper I've encountered. Everything else works well for me. Haven't tried chat.

Unusable: Sprint Navigation, Vlingo, Poynt, Shazam, BlackBerry App World and QuickPull v.2

I guess it's the price you pay for using Beta Software...

I'll be downgrading later today, just wanted to play in the new OS for a bit.
By the way, other than not being able to use these apps, loved the upgrade!

Cool, what about FB, Yahoo, Opera, BBM, BofA, do these work?

Of the ones you've named, I use Opera only because FB is not compatible either. Really not sure about the others...

I haven't had any issues with Poynt, it seems to work perfectly. I am having problems with voice dialing though. When I try to use it, I get "unknown error" Anyone else have this problem?
