it could be connected to permissions but if you allow gmail to access everything the error will still occur.

jupit3r, for what it is worth, I recently upgraded my BB Curve 8900 AT&T (from factory reset) to 5.0.0.190 and Gmail, version 2.0.6.1269 gorganic, is launching without any trouble.

would you tell me the permission statement of gmail? i tried to allow everything and i've still have the same error. it's very annoying to have to go back to 4.0 only because of gmail. but still i need it.
