it doesnt however mention which of the OS 5 betas out there it works on.
also when I try to download it, it still states 1.6.0.21
.22 version is apparently a) not out there or b) been pulled.

A few additional points:

This update was intended for devices running 5.0+, of which, .230 works the best.

Shaun is correct. If you have less than OS 5.0 release... no go.

It is available and it has not been pulled, at least as of ten mins ago.

Works great on 230 for me.

Verizon 7250 > 8703 > 9530 (returned) > 8703 > 9630 #1 > 9630 #2 > 9630 #3 > 9630 #4 < perfect so far!

I just realised something, this means OS 5 is coming real soon!
They wouldn't release FB to work with OS 5 (and only be downloaded by those running beta Os 5, which is strange) unless OS 5 is coming soon.

Wow, I cant wait.

Working on my bold running 5.0.0.190 with no issue. I tried the version on appworld and got no icon so I went to facebook from my BB and downloaded from there.

Doesn't work on .130, it does when I upgraded to .190, but I miss the tabbed browsing. Oh well, I guess you can't everything.

looks like RIM and the 'main' (for lack of a better word) 3rd party apps are getting ready for an official release of 5.0. i'm still skeptical of using 5.0. i think i'll wait.

btw, not sure if anyone's brought this up, but does viigo work on .190? and what about games? oh berrybuzz as well? those are my main 3rd party apps.

Please don't think that I will add you to my BBM. I won't. Especially if I get sleazy PM's.

This version of Facebook even though it runs on 5.0.0.190, seems to have a lot of bugs. I haven't had any freezes or lock ups, but I'm having a lot of connectivity issues. On the other hand, I'm having problems using Facebook on my desktop.

I've tried through other networks and had the connectivity problems too. So I think the problems are two fold. There are probably some problems with facebook servers, and the app is buggy. I would say we won't see any resolution until the rumored 1.7 version of the app is released.

To further support the buggy app idea, I put this version on my pearl flip running 4.6.180 and it's not any better. So here's to hoping for a new release soon.

First of all....as some have mentioned. You have to be on 5.0.0.xxx to be able to download it.

I downloaded the only one I could find on BB App World 1.6.0.21, installed it and then I could not find the icon. I went back to BB App World to realize that it was prompting me for an update to .22. I did the upgrade and it works perfectly!

The only thing I noticed is that FB does not show up on the applications screen...I'll try again after a reboot!

BTW ~ I updated to 5.0.0.238 on my 8900 this morning.

Hope it helps

BTW2 ~ I can't see any difference from .21 yet....
