Default Windows 7 Discussion Thread - 09-25-2009, 07:35 PM

Hi folks

I currently have a BlackBerry 8520 which is normally synced to my Compaq Mini which runs Windows XP Pro. I was the doing the Beta for Windows 7 and was initially impressed with the general feel, running and performance of it.

Now that the RTM units are close to hand i've been thinking about upgrading to Windows 7 however i would like to know any known bugs current Windows 7 users (whether it be Beta, RC or RTM) currently have with any part of the BlackBerry experience, for example Desktop Manager not playing ball, Media Sync crashing etc

Cheers

Had: 8700g, 9000, 8220, 9500, 8110
Have: 8520 Curve

In that order! Missing 3G

I'm running Windows 7 via Bootcamp on my MacBook Pro and it's pretty good!

Moved to the Beta section since Win 7 has not yet been released.

When doing OS updates, make sure you disable the USB suspend option in the power management area (advanced). That's the only issue I've noticed.

Running DM 5.0.0.11 on the 64bit version of Win7 Ultimate (RTM). No issues here at all, except DM insists on offering to do some language updares on the BB which I can't stop it offering. I'm sure that's unlikely to be a Win 7 issue.

+1 to what wibbly said...I'm running the same version of Windows and haven't seen a single problem.
