Default No Internet browser with 8900 os 5.x.x - 10-24-2009, 11:49 AM

Normally I have 2 browser Icons with my ATT 8900. That has been the case since 4.6.x anyway. One is the Media Net browser and the other is the normal internet/html browser.

Since going to 5.0 betas I seem to no longer have an html browser. The icon is there still as well as the Media Net icon. Both load the Media Net browser though. This was the case on 5.0.0.190 as well as 5.0.0.314 now.

Anyone else having this issue or have a work around? I've done some searching but no one seems to be having this specific issue. I've already resent service books, and attempted to uninstall and reinstall 'browser' from the desktop manager. The browser is unable to be deselected in DM though.

Wirelessly posted

Its because att doesn't push those service books yet to your device. There is a fix for it. Just google 5.0 att browser fix. There is a process where you have to unload a module and load generic service books and reload that module
