Default Gmail Contact Sync on 5.0 OS - 10-25-2009, 11:37 AM

Ok, so I got 5.0.0.314 installed and running. Everything is great, went to my BIS on T-Mobile and it's telling me to go to the setup folder, log in to the email settings application. I am having trouble finding where to do this. I see it in my applications list, but the icon in the setup folder takes me to the manage internet emails. What am I missing?

It seems to take me to the old page, where it's only showing the sync deleted items. Any idea why the web page is taking me through the setup for it but the phone isn't?

That's a lot of help, thanks, I am book marking that page. The only catch is I'm not getting that when I click on it. I'm wondering if it's not completely set up

It could also be an issue if you're using a beta OS on your device.....

TMO bis lets me check the contact sync and save now. I am running 5.0.0.314 on my 8900 but I still can't access the email settings screen that is shown on the blackberry technical guide linked above. I get the following email after checking the contact sync on tmo BIS:

"1. In the Setup folder, log in to the email settings application.
2. After you log in, the security activation starts. By completing the security activation, wireless synchronization of your contacts entries with your device automatically begins. "

Nothing happens when I click the email setup button other than the old html page that has always come up....

1. In the Setup folder, log in to the email settings application.2. After you log in, the security activation starts. By completing the security activation, wireless synchronization of your contacts entries with your device automatically begins.

I think because all this is still beta software it's not full set up on T-Mobiles end. I'm hoping that since it's available on the website they won't T-Moblie won't be wating very long to release the OS update (now Blackberry just needs to add native calendar sync and life will be good)

It worked on the storm2 I got today. I guess its just some time before TMO activates it.
