New BBM out in the wild
 

All I can say is make DARN sure you do a manual backup of your device before you install this.

I just installed it on my Tour w/ 4.7.0.57 OS and it totally hosed my BBM. It showed installed in the app list, but no icon anywhere (and not hidden).

Tried to 'downgrade' back to .33, and have no contacts or groups. I also could not restore my contacts from the backup that BBM can do. There are backup files on the media card (can see them via mass storage mode on my laptop), but the device doesn't see them at all.

I foolishly thought I still had a device backup from my upgrade a few weeks ago, but it's nowhere to be found (lesson learned). So now I'm re-adding everyone manually.

Crap that sucks, sorry.

Meh, in the grand scheme of things, it's not a big deal. Had I ensured I had a good backup, I could have just restored that and been back up and running.

You should have my PIN, though, so feel free to re-add me. I think the one I have for you is old....

I downloaded .54 on my 9700 yesterday and it's working great... I had the BBM 5.0 before and this version seems pretty much the same except for a few subtle changes : smaller font for status update, auto accept audio transfer option... I hear the picture transfer preview is better but I haven't tested yet. I want an auto download picture at 460 x 280 option!

i had a problem with this one. my sister said i was no longer on her list. when she was on mine. also when i type and send a message it disappears from the text box, and when i get a message it doesnt show on screen but the indicator flashes. i just close and open then it shows my sent message and any new messages.

Did you try removing the BBM all together and then re-installing this one.

Good find. Many of us would normally switch installs but it is assumed that this program will have more leaks
