When you click on a link in email it gives you "Open in Opera Mini 5" or "Open in Native Browser" options. If you click the Opera option it doesn't actually load said link, but just fired up Opera. I don't like the fact that you cant paste an external link into Opera Mini 5 so it seems a bit useless. I used http://mini.opera.com/next/minibb.ja...31278&bbfw=4.7 for the install. | Press w while in app to copy & paste. The function is there

| You cannot put the 9630 software on a Bold. You can only put software specific to the 9000 model on your Bold.

Any thoughts on Sametime? I did an uninstall, reboot, re-install ... same results. | I haven't tried the Lotus version, but the RIM Enterprise Messenger for Sametime works fine.

| Installed from .230. My Viigo, Blackberry App World donxxx8217;t work. I'll have to try re-installing but I can't find my Google Voice App. I tried re-installing and it acknowledges that it's already installed and even with the new install not icon. I checked all my folders. Is there a trick to find it? | | Offline

| Many of my apps were in the downloads folder after I made the upgrade. Look there again.

| So far seems good, on to the bad. Well not bad, but might be something they left out or needs fixing.
SMS texts wouldn't open up. I deleted all of them, working again.
Anyone else have that problem?
While in the media player after selecting an album, can't search songs in there.
Last thing I notice today was the zoom option on pictures. You only get in or out. You can't zoom in or out freely.
No other issues I can think of.

| I've got some old SMS texts that won't go away. Pushing delete prompts for delete, but does not delete the SMS.
Also, all my texts appear to be coming from the same person, who sent me the oldest SMS in the phone. | | Offline

| Coming from 4.7.x, I can say that the battery life is hugely improved in this version of 5. I tried the 5.0.0.230, and was unimpressed, so I went back.
In 4.7.x, the battery would go from 100% to 30% in a normal amount of time/usage. However, from 30% to radio-shut-off would take a relativity-defying 10 minutes (without any apps running).
In 5.0.0.419, the battery usage seems to actually be linear. I can go to bed with it at 30% and wake up with it at 25%. I'm so happy now.

| I downloaded, deleted the vendor file, etc but it won't install. It says it wants to install 4.7. After a couple of tries I told it to go ahead, but it won't install that either. I searched for more vendor files as that happened once, but none were found. I tried both with the loader and with the DM and neither went. I tried to delete the 4.7 file I had and it still wouldn't go. I tried to reinstall several times and that didn't help.
I tried to redownload it also, but that didn't help either.
Any suggestions why I can't get it to load?

| I've found 2 issues (?) with this - 1 that is not a big deal and one that really irritates me.
1. When I use click on a URL/Browser bookmark, the screen will show 'Requesting' at the bottom and freeze for several seconds, then load quite quickly. It just seems to hang up at the beginning there...maybe it's just my perception. This one isn't a big deal, just something I notices
2. Occasionally when I do a battery pull, my individual contacts are 'invisible' in BBM. If I have an active convo going with someone (which shows in my Messages app) I can still chat with them. But when I click on the BBM icon, I don't even see the 'Contacts' or Chats header bars (BBM 5.0.0.57). I do see the Groups header bar, and all of my BBM groups are still there. I wind up having to do a couple more battery pulls before I can again see all of my contacts. This one is irritating. At least the reboot time is much better with this build so those battery pulls aren't as bad as they could be.

Any suggestions why I can't get it to load? | I deleted the vendor file at first too. Wouldn't let me upgrade.
So finally after going at it for a few minutes, I put back the vendor file and worked.

| I am on BES and I have noticed a lag after putting my company email back on after this upgrade. The overall OS is much better as in the battery life but anytime the phone is locked it takes a few seconds to put the password in and the menus are a bit slow. anyone have any ideas on this or should i give it a day to get used to having enterprise on there? anyone else using BES with this release? Ideas to make it "snappier?" | | Offline

After unplugging and checking some emails, the screen turned white and said app error 523 and the only option was reset. After hitting reset the phone rebooted and is working fine now. Its odd as the only thing moving slow is my BES email. My company has the highest BES software available. Could it be because I am on leaked software? Thoughts? | | Offline
