OS 5.0 - Missing Verizon Internet Browser
I have been on 220.127.116.11 for awhile now on my 8230, but I recently needed to reinstall the OS because of a known Bluetooth bug. This time when I reinstalled the OS, my Internet Browser is gone. I figured I would try and see what would happen if I downgraded to 18.104.22.1689 and the browser was present. I have searched and read that AT&T 5.0 users have had a similar problem and have a solution, but has anyone experienced this and have a solution for Verizon?
Methods tried with no success:
- Having Verizon push the Service Books
- Having the Service Books pushed from the BES
- Options -> Advanced Options -> Host Routing Table -> Register
- Email Settings -> Send Service Books
In doing some more research, I finally found a solution. I hope this helps others with the same problem.
